Local Outreach

Canadian Blood Services is a not-for-profit charitable organization that operates independently from government. They provide blood, plasma, as well as transfusion and stem cell registry services, on behalf of all provincial and territorial governments (excluding Quebec).

Grace hosts blood donor clinics at the church four (4) times a year, typically in March, June, September and December.

The Eganville & District Ministerial Association are a group of clergy from St. James the Less Catholic Church, Melville United Church, St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church and representatives from “Lily of the Valley”. The group meets several times a year in fellowship and discussion on what is happening in our respective churches and to plan ecumenical events together. 

Occasionally, a worship service for Christian Unity is held at Grace with people from all denominations attended.

The Eganville & District Food Bank is a registered charity and a member of the Ontario Foodbank Association. The food bank is entirely funded by the community through donations, proceeds from fundraising activities, and any other sources authorized by the Board of Directors. It is staffed by volunteers and all monies received are used for the expenses incurred in the operation of the food bank. 

Grace Lutheran provides a monthly monetary donation, plus any additional donations when received. Special fundraising events are organized throughout the year by the church and Sunday School to provide food donations to the food bank.

Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is one of 34 Public Health Units in the province of Ontario. The Health Unit services Renfrew County and it’s residents.

Grace donates their facilities to the Renfrew County Health unit as needed, to allow the Health Unit to organize and execute vaccination & immunizations clinics, and other health programs.

The Toy Bus is a mobile EarlyON child and family center and community action program for children, serving several rural communities from Beachburg to Whitney. It is a place for families and caregivers with children ages 0 to 6 to take part in programs and activities together.

The EarlyON Toy Bus offers a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children in the early years. Our goal is to provide families with access to high quality services and support them in their role. Our Play and Learn drop-ins are rooted in play-based learning where children have opportunities to learn and interact with their peers and where parents can meet and share experiences with other parents and caregivers. Our caring and knowledgeable staff are here to provide support with early childhood development, resources, and information.

The Upper Ottawa Valley Lutheran Cluster is a group of all of the Lutheran ELCIC churches in the Ottawa Valley. These churches include: St. John’s Arnprior, St. John’s Renfrew, St. Peter’s Alice, Bethlehem Woito, Grace Rankin, St. Stephen’s Raglan, Christ Maynooth, St. John’s Petawawa, Zion Pembroke, St. Timothy’s Pembroke, Grace Eganville, St. John’s Augsburg, St. John’s Bonnechere, and St. Paul Denbigh.

They meet monthly, rotating their meeting in the various church buildings. These meeting are for fellowship and to give updates regarding activities in the respective churches.
